Total bollocks. With exacerbated monetary inflation, the value of each monetary unit becomes less. This will be exacerbated as they shift to a new monetary system. PMs will be absolutely everything.
You can have extreme inflationary pressures in some areas (food, energy, various essentials) and deflation in others, but there's no denying the M2 money supply has gone parabolic and per unit monetary value is declining..has been for a long time, just getting worse.

Your account is totally controlled. You go to buy a generator and the guy at the counter says "it won't ring up"... you can't have it. no worries tho, you'll still have your phone. orwell understood this all too well. But that also imvolves consent and compliance; I don't think people will accept. For instance, in your example, can't buy a generator? Then a system will arise where instead you buy a 12 volume set of Wokepedia..in name...but under the counter they slip you a generator. People will always find a way to circumvent and overcome tyranny eventually. If every transaction goes block chain, then the sale won't happen at a store or online. It would have to be done through a barter system... Strict control of inventories by the Company and Government. Fines could be imposed by State/Federal Agencies for inventories not in compliance...
