Everyone is a merchant, some work for barter? SOmething else?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83725335 two thoughts. even primitive cultures have the concept of "money", ie favors to be returned. they used sea shells, carved stones, etc. they also have a concept of gifting. a leader is responsible for an equitable collection and redistribution of goods through gifting and a dysfuntional leader tends to get desposed. .
