It will be the same but less efficient. Physical money is just another “good” or product that is bartered or exchanged.
It is the DEMAND for a product that gives it its value.
The ONLY reasons for the US Dollar having value are:
1. The US government demands that taxes be paid with US Dollars and
2. The US Dollar is/was the world’s reserve currency
