The first comment on the link was obviously from a GLPer. It said, basically that their salaries should be $35K a year, and they should pay those $25K expenses and live on $10K. Because then we'd only get true Americans who want to serve in the job.

There is NO ONE on GLP (who isn't on the spectrum or already around the bend) who would work for $10K/yr. AOC is a vag-cavity, but as you say she had it all right. If you paid them $10K in salary a year they'd just use their position and influence to make more on the side. Or you'd get 'the elite' who don't need the money.
