They have incredible cheeses, jams, jellies and other canned items - absolutely delicious!

My wife has very sensitive allergies and she found Amish soap to be very good.

Hispano soap is the best I've ever used. The bar that advertises with "bebe' (baby) on the label. I've always been reactive to nearly all commercial soaps. NSA Hispanic supermarkets or the internet markets.

Buy from the Amish like you would the Special Olympics, they are peaceful and nice, but still retarded...

so they buy stuff at walmart and re-bag it into "amish" bags and people think "it must be good the amish made it!!"

Although I am sure that happens in some places, like the local farmers market where "farmers" show up with "locally grown" bananas.

However the Amish places I've purchased at are actually home grown and they sell for less than walmart prices.

Amish would consider themselves 'Christian' because they believe in Jesus Christ and worship GOD.
It's another denomination like Baptist or United - they just choose not to 'be IN the world' by not using electricity or modern things.
I have respect for them. It isn't easy plowing a 20 acre field with a horse, but they don't complain.
The ones I've met are some of the most humble, nice people I've ever encountered.
