In ancient Egypt a shen ring was a circle with a line tangent to it, represented in hieroglyphs as a stylised loop of a rope. The word shen itself means, in ancient Egyptian, encircle, while the shen ring represented eternal protection.There is also spiritual concentric rings of life and temples of the soul.

It’s strange because in the 1700s it was closer to how time moves than today given disposition of ones nature given through time and space attributed to the planetary positions and its governing sequences. The ring given in marriage meant eternity in its bend. What was inside the ring was the doorway to other worlds. That dream still gets me with its vividness lol Bump
