That statistic is based net wealth from ALL sources. Someone who bought a home in a decent area 6 years ago, and paid $300K for it, when now it could theoretically be sold for $900K, is already ON PAPER $600K+ towards that $1 million mark. Of course if they could sell it for that, then they would have to still have someplace to live, so it would be a wash. That 20 million millionaires statistic also includes 401K and other pension oriented investments, which is something that is also not liquid (without heavy taxation and penalties), and those retirement plans/investments took a MASSIVE hit in value this year. The number of people in the USA with a liquid $1 million+ (where they could write you a check today for $1 million) is pretty small. The last thing I read on that topic estimated (there's no real way to know someone's finances, they only go by what people reveal) less than 800,000 had that much liquid money. Even using your figure of 20M people, that's still only 6%-7% of the population, but like I mentioned, those people don't have a liquid $1M+ |

A large portion of the millionaires in the US keep to ourselves, live modestly and got there by working our ever living asses off living well below our means...However, unless you are "in" with the in crowd when this all collapses, you are as screwed as the rest of the population. US dollar will be crap, not worth a thing...Food, housing and water will be the currancy...They are setting this plan up to control it all...Just look at shortages, recent farmland purchases etc...Water, baby formula, batteries, electronics and fuel...All needed items that the elite will depend on when the rest of us line up for a slice of bread. Our money will be worthless if this continues and you all know I am not wrong. Keep enough to live for a year liquid, not in a bank account, and use the rest to stock up on water, nonperishable foods, guns and ammo, and a source for heat if needed.
