The economy was always doomed anyways. It's always unstable, capitalism is not a good system. That's why it crashes every so often and fluctuates wildly.

It was supposed to explode in 2008, but they saved it and put it on life support the last 14 years dragging out its inevitable demise to let it wreck at a better time.

But it's not stupidity or for some petty cheap shot. They're by purposeful design bringing it down now to fuel the global chaos that's about to hit later. This economy is temporary, they plan to reset it and create a new one under their control afterwards. The people are expendable and supposed to suffer, they don't care about our prosperity. The goal is to strip that away.

I think the best answer to that question is the banks. The commercial banks acting as a cartel or monopoly (monopoly money).

See banks like to lend, they used to take real money, i.e. savings from depositors, make loans in the economy (businesses) and then collected interest on the loans giving a small cut to the depositor (interest on their savings).

That's how capitalism used to work, banks were liable for bank runs because when they lend they are allowed, by law, to only have 10% of their loan book available in cash deposits. Those deposits are their depositors deposits. In the event of a bank run those deposits can and will be used to meet payment requests.

But banks also had to hold the remaining 90% of their loan book in assets. That would be securities like bonds or stocks. This came about after the Graham Leach Blilely Act that rescinded Glass Steagall banking regulations that were developed after banks collapsed in the 1st great depression.

Now the fed doesn't even require member banks to hold cash reserves. That means 100% of their lending is unsecured credit.

Banks didn't like gold backing the currency because then they'd have to have something tangible, countable, observable, real instead of imaginary digits they've created from inter-laced loans of compounded fraud and malfeasance.

People say fiat currencies are printed from nothing and are backed by nothing. I say that's not true at all, they are backed by decades, nay centuries, of lies and deception. But lies really aren't all that appreciated in economic depressions.

No, they are not at all stupid. This is all by careful and lengthy design to destroy the Republic to "Build Back Better" with globalist communism.
