My theory is that the 'elite' of this world got wealthy and control more wealth than the bottom 99% combined do from fiat currencies. Being close to the spigot of credit as it's coming out the hose.

So they got incredibly, some may say grotesquely wealthy by being close to this fountain of prosperity of money from debt. But now clearly the debt can never be liquidated with productivity. Debt grows faster than the producing economy grows.

This means they can never pay the debt off. What is the value of something that doesn't do what it claims? It's value is nothing of course, unless the government makes it so by law, fiat currency. But then the government must expend energy to force it's value on the economy. Now the government is no longer a parasite but a guard dog. That's a much harder job than sucking blood from a host.

The system needs a reboot, or an entirely new replacement system. But the 'elite' don't have a replacement system because those kinds of brilliant ideas come from the general economy, Joes and Janes slugging it out during their shift and inventing something that saves a step. A mmillion steps are saved company wide which means profits.
