Didn’t they have a double bastard? Stone brewing I mean, not the tap room. I remember buying a double bastard or something like that and it was simply divine!

Koch explained to the website Fortune: “This move signals nothing in that regard,” he says. “Stone Brewing will never sell out. Stone Brewing is sacrosanct. We’re not interested in participating in a cash grab. There are two ways of operating a business – commodity or artisan. We operate as an artisan. We make decisions based on our passions. … Anybody that thinks commodity can operate as an artesian is ignoring the basic facts about how businesses operate.”

Sad they sold out

Not really a bad thing. Japan only goes after products they think are of the highest standard. They run companies very well and are into authenticity and quality.p
Nothing to be afraid of, they are very into proper beer.

I can think of a lot worse places to sell it to than Japan.

In fact I see a high probability that Japan taking over will bring some improvements in the company's production and distribution of beer. Don't you?

Re: Nooooo!!!!! Stone Brewing sold out to Japan.. Sapporo buys Stone
I thought about it for a day.. Sapporo was the perfect choice for Stone

Other companies would have watered down the beer and taken away some of the creative marketing

Sapporo wants to keep Stone as is.. just expanded

A big secret move don't know is the Huge Market Cap of Sapporo

240 Billion is the market cap for Sapporo

Inbev is 100 Billion

So Sapporo is 2.4 Times the size of Inbev by market cap

Sapporo is a Juggernaut.. a hidden one

They did well with this buy

Both sides did

Sierra Nevada will get scooped up by Inbev

They need a good hugely produced craft beer to add to their inventory of brands

Thinking the same thing

Production of Stone will double

Also Sapporo beer will be brewed at Stone Plants

So Sapporo will be in more restaurants and convenient stores in the US
