Considering the last cycle was previous to the 800 000 year pole shift, this is the new cycle, so roughly a million years ago and lasted in the millions. Cycles aren't short, ie thousands or tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years, they are in the millions.

And in fact in each run of the DVD from the "beginning" to its "ending or new position" each run with new souls could have radically different outcomes and changes.
