The source, an ally of the PM, added that Mr Johnson "fights on" and more appointments for vacancies will be made tonight. They added that Sir Graham Brady, chair of the 1922 Committee of backbench Tory MPs, told the PM the committee's executive election on Monday "could result in another confidence vote" - and he could lose that vote. "The PM is conscious he has a mandate from 14 million people and the only way he will leave is if the party takes that mandate off him," the ally added. He said MPs need to "sober up and see what this is about". [link to news.sky.com (secure)] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 83806316 United Kingdom 07/06/2022 03:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What if there's an asteroid incoming and all these people just want to get to the bunkers? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 51344792 First they need to bring there tomato plants in... How about the military taking over? The rise of Ben Wallace into the public perception, the new health secretary with a military legal background rising from nowhere and Boris speaking to the 'Queen' (possibly to desolve parliment, the sudden re-shuffeling of the 1922 committee to allow for another vote of no confidence (two weeks after a previous failed attempt to out Boris) and the so called 'random' number of MPs which exactly number the amount to bring about another vote of no confidence all could be perceived as a hosile or possibe whitehat takeover. If the the deepstate/EU think they can take this country they are very much mistaken, people have seriously woken up to being hoodwinked and even the most retarded know they've been taken for fools. |

Usually the Chancellor of the Exchequer harbour PMship ambitions! Liz Truss will be next PM after Boris.. not Sunak... That is the most ludicrous thing I have read on GLP. Don't you understand? The Tory Party NEVER elects as their new leader somone like Liz Truss who supported a totally discredited prime minister. Anyone who does that is political toast. And Truss is now political burnt toast. |

Do you think people might take to the streets and protest? They don't care if people protest because that's all people do. They block roads, wave signs, beep their horns and yell at buildings. They don't care. Soon they'll get tired and go home. OR, some goons will show up and beat and kidnap a few of the protestors to scare the rest away. Just like the truckers in Canada. |

Security will have been ramped accordingly. If they do and there is a vote... Still got to be 180 out of the 359 to vote against for Boris to lose... No PM has lost a no confidence vote since 1924... We will have the first no-confidence vote since 1924. |
