We are finding out just how much the fed govt has trampled the constitution over the past 6-7 decades.

Many of the laws and acts they have signed are, in part of in whole, unconstitutional as they extract power from the states that was never given in the constitution.

The problem is that in too many cases the states (either directly through the state govt or indirectly through the state elected fed politicians) have gone a long with it.

The states are complicit through their actions and inaction. Much of it was done through coersion and blackmail by the fed govt.

Example: NCLB, took the power to decide curriculums, testing standards, etc from the states, with the promise of fed funding if certain (arbitrary) targets were met.

Must be the latter, what could be worse?
Human trafficking and sex crimes, especially of children, is irredeemably vile.

Sure, try voting in any other country in the world without being a citizen and see how far that gets your vote. The USA should not be any different - it's common sense people.

Let the 6-3 Supreme Court decide if the rules are legal and constitutional.

I have to supply 'burdensome documentary proof' just to buy ammo in California. Where is the DOJ on that? Why is the DOJ not defending my Constitutional Rights against the state that is eroding my 2nd Amendment Right?

The tiny state of NH currently requires to show your license when you pick up your ballot to vote. If you do not have one you can go to a table fill out an affidavit and vote that day.
But your vote will supposedly not be counted until you send back the verification form sent to your home. Then supposedly your vote will be counted.

But you know and I know this seems good on the outside. But I have never really dug into it. But on the surface, it works better than drop boxes by a huge margin. Something is better than nothing

President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) is suing the state of Arizona for its law requiring residents to prove their United States citizenship in order to vote in presidential elections.

In March, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) signed a bill into law that requires residents to prove that they are American citizens to vote in presidential elections. The law also requires new voters to provide proof of their address.

On Tuesday, Biden’s DOJ announced its lawsuit against Arizona, claiming that the law violates the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA):

In this action, the United States challenges certain provisions of HB 2492 on the basis that they violate Section 6 of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 and Section 101 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. [Emphasis added]

One of HB 2492’s provisions violates the NVRA as interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. In that case, the Court rejected an earlier attempt by Arizona to impose a documentary proof of citizenship requirement on applicants who register to vote using the mail voter registration form prescribed by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. [Emphasis added]

HB 2492 contravenes settled law insofar as it requires Arizona registrants using the Federal Form to also submit burdensome documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to local election officials if those officials cannot otherwise confirm the applicant’s citizenship status. [Emphasis added]

The Biden administration is asking the district court to prevent Arizona’s election officials from implementing the proof of citizenship law.
