Sorry, you had your turn living in a nice place for free. I saw some homeless guy that has been living on the street for 2 years. He agrees with your free apartment mindset, and says it's his turn in your place. You have to take a turn in his place. The moral of your story is that no one, except a charity, should even attempt to provide a place to live in a "rent" scenario. If you do buy a house, best make sure you only sell it to someone in a position to buy it outright. If people renting homes are bad, the concept of trying to rent a place to live is bad. You shouldn't be allowed a month by month arrangement and instead should be forced into a 30 year mortgage.
