No it does not. It points in the direction, perhaps. But you will never reach god by following a path, only the conclusion that god cannot be reached thus.

If you have found joy and love for oneself and for others, then you have found God.

Jesus was one of many benevolent wise human messengers. Focus less on the messengers and more on their guiding messages of treating each other better with greater respect and forgiveness.
