Have you noticed search engines returning crap results for anything and everything?

The major search engines no longer are providing GOOD search results. Everything is being skewed by programs that SCAM the system so as to PUSH either advertising related stuff to the top or to push agenda driven items to the top.

Another thing the search engines are doing is NOT DOING THE SEARCH QUARRY YOU ENTERED but changing it to something IT THINKS you may be interested in.

You put in a limiting factor of some sort, say a year, and it TOTALLY IGNORES that limiting factor and thus you can never find the answer to what you are searching for since the other data it returns, for pages and pages of search results, are totally irrelevant.

It is becoming harder and harder to actually SEARCH the web for information. The WWW has taken a HUGE STEP BACKWARDS with the agenda driven PUSH PUSH PUSH of what the Silly Valley Companies want to either sell you or to impose their political agenda beliefs upon you.

The big club presidential meeting just around beginning of Co.vid was a pretty good example of the wagons circling.

It's been this way for quite awhile. And seems to just be getting worse.

If you're looking for some specialty niche site it's not so bad, but general searches are horrible.

I remember when you could really find some gems out there. Now it's all controlled. Look at the number of results on the first page, then drill down a page or two and look at the number of results. None of it makes any sense, they're playing with the numbers to make it seem like a huge number of results.

I've done that same experiment before as well ... years ago even, and seen the same results.

Now however it's much worse.

Since COVID I've noticed that finding anything useful from search engines has become extremely difficult. Particularly in the last 12 months.
