^I lived this. Fuck that. Had I kept my $990 that the studio cost me, I'd have had money to eat and buy clothes. Plenty of jobs I missed out on because I couldn't afford nice work clothes. Offices make these stupid rules about dress code but give you no allowance to dress yourself. At $6.25 an hour, how is a young kid suppose to cope? You can't. I couldn't handle roommates (still can't) lived on my own (still do).

And then, after telling me they couldn't afford to pay me more, even though the sales team landed repeat million dollar accounts, they hired this 18 yr old who had the same job as me, except she could come and go as she pleased and I was STUCK behind my desk (they even timed my bathroom breaks!) and she earned $11. She told me that, HR confirmed, I marched straight for my boss and told 'em all to fuck off and quit right then and there!

I had no TV for decades because I couldn't afford one, wore the same 5 work tops for 20 years, 3 pants and thank goodness I weigh the same and stayed skinny because I couldn't pay for much anything else!
