Belarus and Russia will attack the staging grounds in Poland and Romania once the threat threshold is crossed.

....thus giving the US and NATO leaders the political capital to launch the first major war in 80 years.

A forward defense of Europe against Russia is not workable. This has always been well known. A forward defense has always been the supposed plan because the idea of a deep retreat as the go to strategy just doesn't sit well with countries like Poland.

The reality is that Russia will push hundreds of miles West before NATO can halt and reverse their gains. Though it must be admitted that Russia's performance against Ukraine has not been impressive, so there's an argument that Russia isn't as good as has been supposed.

I wonder how the Russian people would feel about Russia declaring war on NATO? Would they have the resolve to carry out a long, costly war? Or would they wonder if life might be better under a westernized government?

Russia's performance against Ukraine is very impressive: Russia has destroyed the largest, best equipped, best trained land army in Europe and Russia has done so using 1/10 of her forces and older soviet-era surplus inventory.

However, a direct conflict between Russia and NATO will definitely see the use of nuclear weapons which takes us into uncharted territory.

And they will be more than justified, especially since at the g7 meeting the elites agreed on a plan to use 750 billion dollars in Russia's seized assets "to rebuild Ukraine".

Stealing the better part of a trillion dollars is a very good reason to go to war.

For a start, BBC and NYT are not government owned and operated State Media, as all media is now in Russia.

But yes, I would agree that it's fair to question what they say and their motives for saying it as well.

I would doubt those sources because they have a long history of outright falsification. If they seemed credible then I would discuss the article and have done so.
