Re: The Cosmic Gypsy, Flying Free - a short story
I opened up the glimmer of light, sister....hf

The sun was shining, and I had already wiped the sleep from my eyes. I went to my window to see if Cosmic Gypsy was awake. I whistled. She came to her window, her hair all still a mess from sleeping, and she chirped out, “Good morning, friend!”

“It's such a nice morning, do you want to go for a walk?” I asked her, knowing she would. It was our thing.

Cosmic Gypsy washed her face, brushed her teeth, slicked her hair down just as quick as she could, and then grabbed up her new treasure to show me.

I saw her walking toward me with something in her hand, something I couldn't make out. I asked her what she was holding, and while beaming a smile, she said, “My new crystal piccolo! Look! It's pretty!” She stuck it up in my face.

I told her it was very pretty, and asked her if I could hold it. She pulled the piccolo back to her chest saying, “But....ummm, but it can break. I don't want it to break....I just got it yesterday.”

I could tell she was very, very fond of this piccolo, like her daisies. I told her it was okay, just looking at it was satisfying enough. It was very pretty, and very petite, like her.

We set out on a dirt path to the daisy patch, our favorite place to walk to. While we walked she jibber-jabbered about this, that, and the other thing, waving her arm around, the one with the piccolo in the arm's hand. I could tell she was very proud of it.

We sat in the field of daisies all day while she played her piccolo, she even prancing and dancing while she played. I wondered how she learned to play it so fast. She was a master of the instrument, and had only had it for a day.

I asked her where she got it, and she looked at me, right in the eyes, and her right eye twinkled, “The place I got this from is out of this world! It's a magic piccolo!”

I had to agree with her, because it was like magic that she learned so fast, and the music was so sweet. I wondered how many daisies it cost her to fly to where it was, so it could be hers.

We walked home while the sun was beginning to set. It was a nice day, even a beautiful day....because it was a Cosmic Gypsy day.

We sat at our windows late into that night, she playing her sweet little magic piccolo.

I looked at the clock. It was a half past midnight.

I fell to sleep to an aria Cosmic Gypsy was magically playing into my dreams.

I absolutely LOVE this!!!

Dancing among the daisies.

I can almost hear the piccolo. And made out of crystal no less.

It's such a GREAT read. I like the half past midnight tie in too.

If you want the first part, to write a whole book, it's all yours.

Thank you so much for taking over. I can't get over how wonderful it is.

I'm really pleased you like my addition....hugs

Heh, and I knew you were going to say that about me writing a book, and that I could have your initial story, I "saw-heard" it earlier today....telepathy is really gone wild for me these days!....cheer

I'm thinking about it....but it's not really so much the writing that concerns me, it's the getting it published. That appears to me like a fucking nightmare, the getting it published, ya know?

I mean, I entered three different things I've written, all of them fairly well put together, and I didn't even place, not even the top 30....jeebus, it stung for a bit, ya know?

It hurt my feeeeeeeeeeeelings they weren't liked....chuckle

Harhar, I hate admitting that, but it did sting quite a bit.

But Solar told me that the Internet writing contests are rigged....so, I dunno. I thought it'd be a good way to break into the field, heh.

Maybe it'd be different if I just submitted what I've written to a REAL publishing company....it's just I know they get TONS of submissions.

Oye, I just need to let go of my fucking mind, write from spirit, and come what may will come, or not.

It's just hard to have a creative project rejected, much less three, especially after I've been told I don't know how many times that I have a knack for writing. It hurt this little ole empath, because I knew they didn't like I wrote.

Before sending The Radical She in I was afraid the judge, a Christian, might take issues with some of what I wrote in The Radical She....heh, but I wasn't removing it, just to appease their being a Christian, and I let 'er ride the way she was written.

I was struggling back then with my relationship with "God" BIG TIME, and that is reflected in the story. I know a hard core Christian would have problems with the story.

But we live and learn, and I now have an awesome relationship with my creator....hf

I'm going to think about writing a children's book using this material, okay?

Heh, I just "saw" a glimmer of light trying to open....misdoubt

I know. You are extremely persistent and forceful in a gentle way.

We really are in sync.

You could do like your college book and attach a small piccolo to the book.

Yes, by all means. Copyright it now so no one steals it.
(just write copyrighted by Cosmic Gypsy 2022 or something like that.
And don't edit your post. That way if the need should arise you can come back at a later date to show you were the original creator.

I think Phenn or others here would know about all that.

I'm sorry, I'm barely getting used to this increase in telepathy that's going on. A bit ago I was sitting here thinking I should probably be a little more careful with what I'm thinking....not that I have bad thoughts all the time, but I had no idea you were feeling my insistence.

Really, it's stunning me this last week, the connectivity between me and my loved ones.

Awwwww, you see, that's what I don't like, how we have to guard ourselves, so what we've written doesn't get stolen.

And the thing is, it actually isn't copy written, and I can't "lie" like that, just to fool another into thinking they can't have it.

Honestly, I'd rather you just deleted it, all of the posts with it in there....and I'll just work on it quietly myself, alone, with no input from others.....tissue

I'm joking about the crying, but I do work better while working with others....look at what we've each produced, eh?

I never would've thunk up that story if it weren't for you....hugs

It kinda keeps me from being too lazy.

I'm glad you're getting used to your gifts/energies. it all makes life so much better.

You want me to delete what I wrote or what we both wrote?
You have it saved already? Do you want to save it? I don't have the willpower or desire to write anything.

Like I said before, if you want it it's yours.

I'm "seeing" things moving around, so maybe I'm finding a way for it to become a little children's book.

That would be a whole lot easier to write, than a full adult metaphysical fiction book would be for me.

Harhar, I'm already finding myself wondering where I'll find an artist for the story/stories, lol.

Maybe I can find a way to work around it in my head - *just a little give, cosmic* - and just post the copy write thing, and then immediately, like tomorrow, see about how I can get a real copy write license or whatever it is, and get 'er done.

OK take your time
You still would have to finish it and no one could do it right like you.

What I'm beginning to think is that each of our stories are very short and, with pictures, they each might be enough for one book. Think about the Little Golden Books, they were so short ya know?

I just googled those, and they're still being published.

There could be a series of Cosmic Gypsy books, is what I'm thinking, or it's what's coming to me.

I should prolly go to a book store and look at children's books to get a feel for them....heh, now I'm using my head.

Actually, I just googgled a Little Golden Book on youtube. There very well could be enough content in both of our stories for a book like that.

I'm thinkin' on it, sister....hf

I love where you're going with this.
There are the Little Miss and Little Mr books too, by John Hargreaves.

Re: The Cosmic Gypsy, Flying Free - a short story
OK, I missed this thread and glad I caught up.

Both HPM and CG are very talented writers! This short collaboration is excellent start to perhaps something that is very much needed right now - children's books/stories.

Compare what is out there now (utter trash and vile given the whole grooming aspect). I'm a trends gal and believe that our society stands at the edge of the cliff throwing postcards off. But the unveiling of much has caused so many to step BACK from that cliff edge finally.

Yes, the two of you should continue exploring how to break into the market!

You ladies totally rockon

Yes, I'd much rather produce some children's books that more open them up to their own sense of creativity, rather than creating templates of how their supposed to feel/to be.

HPM doesn't want to/can't work with me on it, although I wish she would/could, but I understand....heh, she's not retired like I am.

Thank you for your observation....hf

Well, follow your gut instinct, write from the heart/soul level and just put it out there. And I'll always help with editing (once a teacher, always a teacher).

Re: The Cosmic Gypsy, Flying Free - a short story
Oh you guys, DZ & CG,

I should give it a go since you 2 smarties ( and I mean that in the most sincerest nicest way) think it's a good idea.

Thoughts spring up at random times & I think about them in my head (sometimes for days) before writing them down.

On this one, some of it was a few sentences a day. I would think about it during the day while doing other things, at night & then I can't sleep and then I email it to myself in the morning.

I think it was just 5 total emails though so it wasn't so bad.

The thing is, I am trying to do the astral traveling and when the story is on the mind there is no AT.

I don't know how to 'not do' you know?

But CG, if you want to do it & DZ, it's so nice of you to offer your help, I love you guys and maybe this could be a very good thing.

let me think on it. I didn't get any sleep last night so maybe I will take a nap today & sleep on it.

I almost just popped off some energy to you, then I saw the timing of your post, thankfully. That would've woken you up, most likely, heh.

I don't see why there couldn't be multiple authors of Cosmic Gypsy books! I think that would be wonderful!

Heh, where two or more are gathered, eh?....grouphug

Five words for you two ladies....dream journal and a pen. hf

I've not done that in a long while but it helped me a lot when I was struggling w/ a writing project. And it affected my dreams. So, I'd wake up, write down initial thoughts of my dream remnants I could recall. And it actually helped me finish my project.

I don't dream anymore, lovey....shrug

But I'm almost always on my laptop, so I just go to Open Office.

Although, right now would probably be a good time for me to journal, just for myself.

We're all so at the crossroads right now, and I've still got a bit of kwap to get off my chest, before I can get to the other side.

Journaling would be better than dumping it all on a GLP buddy like I've been doing the last 24 hrs in PM. They say they're not minding, so again, I'm a very fortunate woman....but still, they don't really have any answers for me, because it is such a personal thing. I have to work it out on my own.

When I go out later, I'm going to get me a composition book, and start journaling.

Thank you for the suggestion, sister.....smile_kiss

Just in case you lovely ladies missed it....
