Don't Ping the Bots

Within the last year there has been a significant increase and upgrade in bots who troll this site and others. Once you realize you're not dealing with another human being, you can just ignore them and they become inconsequential.

Some of the actions of a bot are:
Repetitive - making the same statements in multiple threads. Always on duty.
Prolific poster but doesn't post long thoughtful posts - just short statements.
Doesn't get off-the-hook angry, but will insist and insist and insist on the same propaganda repeatedly.
Quotes mainstream mantras and argues with mainstream mantras rather than personal convictions.

I'm sure these weaknesses will be updated as well. The changes happen quickly.

I have found that ignoring the bots is the best approach. They "like" to be replied to and upon that encouragement will continue indefinitely - as a computer can.
