Really glad we're not there for it! I can't get over the lack of traffic, even when he was in the metroplex! We made sure we were where we would need to be for several days when we lived out there. Sometimes, the hotel wouldn't have guests, just employees. I think the power is staying up, so that's a plus.

Well, when Fortune 500 companies raise their prices on all products way past what inflation would account for, people are going to purchase less products.

I got a "D" in microeconomics in college and even I understand people buy less when everything costs more.

Funny thing is, next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, we will be back in the lower 70s again.

Temps have been weird here, too. We're finally up to 17 now. We were 11 this morning. We'll be colder later this week, but the days between, we'll be bouncing around the upper 30's/lower 40's. The whole winter has been off.

Had thunder sleet this morning, then turned to rain.

Pre-9/11, I would have said there's no way you could sneak something that big across US airspace without someone knowing about it. But these days? Holy hell.

And them not shooting it down "due to risk of people on the ground" is a BS excuse. It's over BFE, Montana. Nothing out there but ICBMs and horses. My guess is they're leaving it up there to try and use it to send garbage data back to China. That's what I would do in their shoes. But that's just a guess on my part.
