Riff, thanks for the factoid. I didn't know that, but should have realized it since everyone and their brother is using it now. I'm truly amazed by LIDAR. I think it has awesome capabilities in the realm of archeology, but scary. It seems nothing is secret anymore. They can look through buildings and now, completely underground. I really should have realized it after seeing the underwater mapping in the ocean.

I don't know if the Bush story is true or not; I've heard it as well, but it's not a valid comparison. The Secret Service protective detail does not fall under the direct command of the President; they won't give him much choice on what they're doing when there's an immediate threat to his life. Now once that threat is no longer a threat, POTUS should be able to make his own decisions on where they go and what they do.

And, yes, if Americans knew what the government was really up to, they'd revolt. That's why damn near everything is classified.

i've listened to a few talks by the main EMP scientist. what will happen is open to debate. there is only 1 way to test the theories.

how many planes, cars ,or military vehicles hardened for this? our govern has a track record of NOT spending $$ to prevent an issue and just borrow tons of $$ to fix problems later.

the main concern seems to b the e3 wave. this can hitch a ride on wires and cause a huge sudden surge of power. before breakers snap off, lots of electronics will b damaged. this applies not only to homes but businesses including the electrical grid and cell towers. such as banks, power plants, dam genny's, wall st, gas stations, etc.

u can see that even if the transformers do survive, the damage is costly in both $$ and time to replace all the parts that are fried. remember everything nowadays is done digital or with electricity. with govern regulations dictating how many lights a business has to have , not many will b open. most won't open as they are corporate and won't have and cameras, credit card machines, registers that record purchases and track inventory, and no running water.

doesn't have to b Hollywood to b bad. think of 911, but this time not just air traffic is stopped. all travel on the ground is stopped. no delivery trucks, no truckstops, no fuel, no going to work. it would make the "covid lockdown" look like a picnic. considering there was no real lockdown. some didn't go to work for a few days, but many did. and u could still shop.

theories go on to state that a country wouldn't fire just 1 EMP but would use multiple bumbs. 1 to insure 1 works. 2 to add damage. what do ppl do when a few cars won't start? try start all the others. just in time for the 2nd burst.

i doubt any country wants to try to send us an EMP. they'd b nuked. we have military all over the world that would strike quickly. i'd b more apt to believe our own govern turned the power off. but as i have said before they won't do that til the very end. media is used to control the public. only when chaos is inevitable will they cut the power. to control how the chaos plays out and minimize damage to some locations.

Not today so much, but Mr. TB is on my last nerve! Big 'ole grouch. The cat was all over the place the last couple of days, but she's calmed down today. I take it back. She snuck downstairs and hid in the basement again.

Lately, I feel like the only normal one in this house! Scary, huh!?!

I've had that feeling since January 17, 2020. It just won't go away.
