The whole MP thing is a non-issue. We have a pre-existing vaccine for that one. It's been around for years.

I gotta be honest. I'm conflicted about this. We have a close family member that's gay, so I've been following Para's thread. There's a huge gay population in this town and I haven't seen or heard anything here yet. Thankfully. Honestly, this makes me more nervous than the virus does.

We have a gay friend that told us that the gay male community is getting ravaged by hepatitis right now.

I think a bit of this may be attributed to the new drug that supposedly makes it far more difficult to catch HIV. I think this may have prompted many of them to return to behaviors that caused the massive spread of HIV back in the 80s, or whenever it first appeared. This unprotected, and/or promiscuity, is now making for easy spread of the hepatitis and MP.

Re: Coffee Crowd for Civilized Discourse on World Events
there are so many questions. guess i should update again.

many many mutations, huge #. hence will the old vax work? will the small pox vax continue to protect us that had it? deaths are low, only 2 i believe reported so far. but when it gets into children that will climb.

it ain't bad as long as u like the 3-5 week vacation and get over the sores. but u could end up blind or scarred.

the MP similar to SP, can survive way longer on surfaces and in air. 4 days has been reported. small pox was spread via blankets according to history. back then travel was much slower than today. so think of weeks.

this spells danger, danger. as u know i am pro-active at avoiding covid. bleach bath everything i can and wipe all else. those practices do have flaws. think of stuff u use every day- purses, wallets, keys, or shoes. if this MP can survive so long, we will b carrying it with us to ur homes. forget it and then it can bite us weeks later. we all will need to tighten up our own protocals for avoiding viruses.

i uunderstand it can b debated and the viruses are different but i do think there is a correlation to the many outbreaks and covid. blame it on the vax or merges makes little difference. same results- there are many outbreaks happening. these will continue and could in some cases become deadly. and this change could happen anywhere at any time. so our own individual backyards before any CDC or health dept even knows.

ty for that update.

the news on HEP died out. then they made up words- SADS for adult SIDS. then MP took off. there are too many viruses running around freely mutating to b a coincidence.

not all are connected to just gays either. we have mixing of many chemicals together, things go BOOM. vaxes , covid, multiple forms. aned nobody wanted to test the side effects that would occurr for even mixing vax with different meds.

srry but we have crossed the SciFy threshold of mankind causing an apocalyptic catastrophe. givng all mankind 1 vax and betting the survival of the species on that was not our smartest move. no mon itoring of it wasn't either. continuing to mix more with it has us chasing a poss. ELE.

srry for my delay in keeping u updated. old thread got quiet. thought u all fell asleep. plus had some personal stuff to deal with.

i do think most of u keep up with the CC2 thread. full of info. my cummulative damage theory is proven right. the ppl with long covid is a very high % as well. mayb not all of the infected have stopped working but % with heart or other organ damage lingers between 40-75% depending on the study and what organ or factors they consider.

that alone shows we are in a freefall to a full collapse.

the whole world is off the reservation as u said lately. the mental drain from covid and the effects on life as the world knew it is getting to ppl. even the posts from the 4th were of many others not finding enjoyments to life as easily as before 2020. it isn't just covid warriors it is other GLP posters as well.

the whole world feels stuck. the shill's escape mechanism is to attack others. most ppl have their own ways of dealing with it. play video games, watch certain movies, music, gettig out with nature, visit family, etc. i did suggest such ideas a few times as a counter to covid. happy ppl are healthier.
 Quoting: JAZZz50

I agree with this. People are angry, and some people cope with that anger by lashing out at anyone they can with the hope that it will make them feel better. But it never does, and they just continue getting angrier.

I've reached the acceptance stage, and am just biding my time until society as a whole implodes. I think most of us here feel similarly.
 Quoting: Riff-Raff

All of this. Everything is so different than it was in 2020. I think the collective trauma/grief have changed everyone. Some people just can’t deal with anything anymore.

I mean, covid totally killed the music scene here. Just killed it. That was a HUGE part of my life that is now basically gone. I don’t even know how to act without my “I’m a musician” identity.

I have been in some weird dark depressed state for a while now. Trying to get out of this hole has been quite challenging though!

That is a really good way to describe how I am feeling! It’s like a part of me has been amputated. No gigs, no good bands to play in. I have played out for the past 25+ years. All gone now.

Should I even be complaining? I have food, a roof over my head. This forum helped me tremendously to get prepared for COVID’s arrival……bombs aren’t dropping on my head…..yet , here I am complaining. I’m a jerk

Don't feel TOO bad! That's what I've been saying to myself for a long time. It's just that it's such an important part that's woven into our being. It's not just a "thing" we do, it's as important as breathing. I had my first lesson at age 4 with my gramma and haven't looked back since. My biggest regret was I didn't keep up with lessons. My folks couldn't afford a higher teacher after I went through all the local ladies.

Re: Coffee Crowd for Civilized Discourse on World Events
the whole world is off the reservation as u said lately. the mental drain from covid and the effects on life as the world knew it is getting to ppl. even the posts from the 4th were of many others not finding enjoyments to life as easily as before 2020. it isn't just covid warriors it is other GLP posters as well.

the whole world feels stuck. the shill's escape mechanism is to attack others. most ppl have their own ways of dealing with it. play video games, watch certain movies, music, gettig out with nature, visit family, etc. i did suggest such ideas a few times as a counter to covid. happy ppl are healthier.

I know exactly how you feel. I haven't been able to perform for almost three years now. I play less and less these days, although we're buying a new baby grand which should put me back in the mood to play here at home. But I live for being on stage more than anything else. You're probably one of the few people here who understands that.

Complete suckage.
