I want a wood stove for my house so bad. Not sure I will get it before winter, trying to get someone out for a quote but not having luck.

I am getting a quote for new windows though and those will help tremendously in the winter. I have solar that will run the blowers in my propane furnaces and space heaters...and have a wood stove in the garage for backup so I'm not too worried yet.

Although my pre-buy propane is 2.45 this year...yikes...I was paying around 1.70 last winter, no pre-buy.

I don't have air ducts/furnace system or else I would go with an outdoor wood boiler system without hesitation. As it stands, a small wood stove would work fine in the house without all the extra work needing to be done.

its already mid July, I don't have much time

Oh also going to get a freeze drier while I can. Will really help food prepping as it can do so much more than my dehydrator and the food will last longer and be easy to transport if needed.

Clocks a ticking it seems, stay safe everyone. Get those last preps in while you can. Crap I need to stock up on pet food too! ahhhh

ETA: yes, feeling so numb. I don't like it one bit.

Never thought of a freeze drier, I will have to do some research on that. I am drying herbs as soon as they can be harvested. Some go in the oven and some hang on the kitchen walls. I do not own a dehydrator but would like one.u2efine
