As of yesterday, I know 3 more people with COVID. Thus far, nasty cold symptoms, but they are all young and healthy.

I remember back in the day, when 'nasty cold symptoms' were simply just a 'cold'. The only thing that escaped from the lab in China was media driven fear. COVID is definitely real. What I find curious is why it is just an obnoxious cold for some, but death for others. It killed 2 of my friends last year who were fit and healthy. One lived in a small town, other in a very rural area. So, no exposure to crowds and such. I know several, in spite of being careful, have had multiple infections. Others with repeated exposure, not careful at all, but have not gotten it. The entire thing makes little sense. No solid recognizable patterns. To me, it is lab cooked. Nothing else makes sense. I tend to agree with this. While we can detect patterns in mutation rates and general infection rates, what isn't predictable is how it will affect somebody once they have it. The fact that it can range anywhere from people not catching it at all despite being exposed to heavy viral loads all the way up to death within days for people that are fully vaxxed and boosted makes it a bitch to deal with. And a second infection can affect a person completely differently than their first infection. I remember clear back in January or February of 2020 the Chinese government was desperately searching for a female technician from the lab in Wuhan. They believed she had gotten infected in the lab and then went to the wet market which is where everything started spreading and going to shit. I also remember that China locked down 11 million people over 300 deaths from the virus very early in the pandemic. That alone told me they knew something about this virus that they weren't sharing with the world. And they still haven't told us the truth on its origins. But the evidence supporting the lab leak theory is pretty heavy. Also, GLP knew about the lab connection long before MSM started asking questions about it. So, Covid is indeed real. Now, it's fair to debate its origins and what it is exactly, but the virus exists. It completely ignores some people; some people get infected but never know it because they never develop symptoms; some people experience mild symptoms; some people experience severe symptoms, including Long Covid; and some people die. And there is no discernible pattern for who experiences what. The efficacy of the vaccines is also fair to debate. I waited a full year before getting my first shot, and I've had three boosters since then. I still got infected two weeks ago. Symptoms were mild, like a sinus infection, and I've completely recovered. My wife also got infected two weeks ago (by me), but her symptoms were more like bronchitis, and she has fully recovered. So, did the vaccine have any impact on our symptoms? I don't know. But I don't think they made anything worse. There are valid questions about both the virus and the vaccines that need to be answered, but most of what is posted on GLP regarding them, like the conspiracy theories about the vaccines and 5G, is pure bullshit.
