firewood won't work for every building thou. i doubt there is enuf cut and split to supply many. if this is the best their govern. can do, the ppl are in trouble.

even here in the rural hills of PA-NY, u couldn't support the small towns with firewood. businesses aren't set up with chimneys or stoves. our construction style is wrong. we build stupid. we build with high ceilings and huge open space. not efficient for heating.

mayb overseas is different. here, we couldn't heat way less than 10% of houses with wood if needed. businesses still would need NG. this attempt does nothing except make the govern. sound like they are doing something. will they hand out small boxes of cereal next to prevent ppl from starving? or hand out cups so everyone can catch rain water?

it sux and is 1 of my great concerns. ppl in the US live in high rise buildings. if the electricity went off in winter, ppl will die. millions within a week. furnaces need electricity to function. without it, they won't work no matter what fuel is supplied. ppl will freeze long before they run out of food.
