This should be fun.

Why do I feel distracted?

Like there's something bigger going on behind the curtains?

Then again, Twatter is a BIG HAND in this New(Liberal) World Order.

Not sure how to classify Musk but I'm kinda on the fence when it comes to him. He's definitely a bad guy but he's playing kind of a Anti-Bad Guy role? Like the Punisher is an Anti-Hero, he does heroic shit but in the end he takes justice into his own hands. Musk, doing bad guy shit in the background but he wants to flaunt an image of a good guy. Not too big into comics but surely Musk has an equivalent from the comic realm chuckle
 Quoting: DangerClose

musk's equivalent in comic world is the character "The Poser"

he pretends to have new products available on the horizon so he can pump his stock value, then never delivers on what he promised
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83830541

Your ignorance is beyond laughable obviously you have no clue you might want to do some research so you don’t look so damn ignorant
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80811981

do research on what?

all the time musk over promised and under delivered, all while his stock price rose to being highly over valued

how's that AI robot he said would be ready in 3 months, about 3 months ago now?

bout as ready as that FSD he said would be ready next year for like 8 years

how's that hyper loop in vegas? the one with a tunnel with telsa cars in them...tesla cars that need drivers... he can't even make his teslas drive themselves in a tunnel at 30 mph

what a tony stark genius!!!!

maybe he can work on a new flame thrower or tequila or drive in movie or atvs

or maybe he can build a kessler cage of starlink satellites fucking up his own rocket launches

a true genius if there ever was one

"Twitter bots helped build the cult of Elon Musk and Tesla. But who’s creating them?"

Over the 10-year study period, of about 1.4 million tweets from the top 400 accounts posting to the “cashtag” $TSLA, 10% were produced by bots. Of 157,000 tweets posted to the hashtag #TSLA, 23% were from bots, the research showed.

Kirsch and Chowdhury tracked 186 Tesla-related bot accounts and found that after each was launched, the company’s stock appreciated more than 2%. (They looked at the average stock return for the week previous to the bot’s creation and for the week following.) While Tesla’s market value has increased over the years, the price has seen dramatic ups and downs. The periods around bot creation showed sharp increases, but outside those windows, trading was far more volatile, Chowdhury said.

Re: Twitter just hired a big-name law firm to sue Elon Musk for dropping out of $44 billion takeover bid, report says
(Business Insider) Twitter has hired Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz LLP to sue Elon Musk over his move to terminate a $44 billion deal to acquire the app, sources familiar with the matter tell Bloomberg.

The firm specializes in merger litigation and has connections to the Delaware court system, where the case will be tried. Twitter plans to file a lawsuit against the Tesla CEO early this week, the sources told Bloomberg.

Musk himself will be represented by Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP. The law firm successfully won a defamation trial for the billionaire back in 2019.

Representatives for Twitter and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz did not immediately respond to Insider's request to comment.

Big mistake for Twitter, they really should have just allowed Musk to move on, and been relieved they didn't get slammed with a 'breach of contract' lawsuit by him. chuckle

Perhaps he can flip this lawsuit into that sort of lawsuit before his attorneys are finished with Twitter. Because that's why Musk terminated the 'deal'.

Twitter GREATLY underestimated the number of bots in Twitter, to Musk. And when he got involved with Twitter he soon learned the number is staggering.

Not to mention the number of 'bot bosses'.. which is never mentioned anywhere either. Apparently 'wealthy' bot bosses, by the way. Twitter knows all about the bots, and promises each boss can have between 50-100 each, or more. (not sure how many more).

Some bot bosses run groups in Twitter, and other bosses 'have people' who do that for them. Groups where more bots are recruited, trained, etc. These groups are for various things, whatever topic is desired, (even and especially those that are controversial, sexual or politically driven, etc), including some from other countries.

One sitting on the sidelines, watching all this, has to wonder.. who on the outside is paying the BIG bucks? And why have bots making profiles and leading trains? And why of all places, Twitter?

Not only Twitter.. Some bot bosses sit on Twitter and send their bots out to other social media pretending to 'be them', running their accounts at those sites in their name.

There is some corruption that runs DEEP in Twitter, and most who use Twitter evidently have NO clue. Apparently, Musk caught on, and said 'no way, jose, i'm out!'

so musk and tesla using twitter bots to pump telsa stocks has nothing to do with musk not wanting to buy twitter cause of the twitter bots like the ones he and telsa used to profit?

Think about it.

Advertisers and other income-generating functions of social platforms are frequently based off of how many users the platform holds. Nike isn't going to pay a cool million to advertise on a platform that only has 50,000 users, but it might for a few million users.

Fraud in reporting those numbers would be a huge issue, not just for Musk, if those bots were counted as real people and not disclosed otherwise.

The income stream of Twitter would be vulnerable due to fraud and misrepresentation.

No contract that is found to contain fraud or misrepresentation is binding. You don't have to explicitly say "bots" in the contract. All you have to do is prove that they were misrepresented on any number of levels and counted as real people and it's done.

Musk will win. Twitter is stupid to sue. Disclosure will ruin them, especially in this whistleblower day and age.

I could create bots to talk me up on my Twitter account if I wanted, and maybe make millions.

I could send bots all over the place to advertise. The key word is "advertise."

Now, if someone came along and said, "Hey, look at all of those people out there online talking you up! I want to buy your business for $10,000,000!" and I didn't tell them that all of those people out there talking me up were advertising bots, I'd be in big trouble.

There are disclosure laws in contracts. I'm fairly certain that would fall under one of them.

Representatives for Twitter and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz did not immediately respond to Insider's request to comment.

and how do you all ignore this aspect of telsa and musk using twitter bots?

I get that, I do. And am not ignoring your post.

Musk of course knew about Twitter bots, evidently there is a certain number that is ok. What he apparently did not know was how MANY bots and bot bosses Twitter now has. And evidently Twitter was dishonest with Musk from the start about how many bots they now have, since halfway thru the contract dealings, Musk was like 'hey wait??? just HOW MANY bots DO you have??????' He is NOT going to buy Twitter out if it is crawling with bots! He said he warned them early on. So Musk investigated, and decided oh hell to the no! Very likely much higher amount of bots than feared.

I'm no legal-beagle. Just seems to me, that Twitter breached their own contract with Musk as presented by giving a lower number of bots in Twitter to Musk, than there actually are. If the matter of 'the number of bots' wasn't IN the contract, why did Musk complain so early on in the dealings and investigate the number of bots so rapidly? If all that's true, then IMO, Twitter breached contract first, by misleading Musk as to the number of bots. Which then, would allow Musk to cancel out the contract without penalty, would it not?

oh right, so they are lying about the contract you have not seen and they have

got it

prove where the sources are lying

I will wait for your analysis and data showing exactly how those news articles are not true
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83830541

Because Twatter lied!

They want to sell him a company of bots talking to each other. Nobody uses the platform. It's a useless platform. The value is based upon lies.

He has a case and they don't. If you are too dumb to realize this you know absolutely nothing about contract law. Now go back to playing with your video games on mommy's glowing rectangular brainwash box..
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83473879

and show me in the contract where it says anything about bots and how if there are bots it makes the deal null and void

since you are an expert in contract law, break down the contract and show where musk has a case based on the details of the contract

I will wait for you to show me the points in the contract that state elon can back out over bots
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83830541

 Quoting: Dirck de Noorman

again, musk should have done his research BEFORE he agreed to buy twitter and made the deal

he has buyer's remorse cause he raged bought twitter cause the SEC was censoring his stock manipulation pumping tweets and now he is mad he stupidly bought something without thinking about it
