One of the 7 year shmitah year cylces started in 1965-1966 therefore when the 6 day war started in 1967 the command to restore and rebuild jerusalem count of 7 sets of 7 had to start on the new shmitah cycle to get the full 7 sets of 7 therefore the shmitah count began in 1972-1973 remember the new year started in september of 1972 on the heeebrew calendar for that shmitah cycle. So start at the 1972-1973 shmitah cycle and go forward 7 shmitahs and you arrive at 2021-2022 for the final super shmitah and the jublilee to begin on october 5 2022 and continue until the next rosh hashanah in 2023. There have been 10 shmitahs cycles since the Founding of modern Israel (1952 - 2022) being Israel was founded in 1948 and 1945 was the start of a new shmitah we go forward to 1952 for the start of the full shmitah count. The next shmitah is the 11th shmitah(2022-2029) since Israel became a nation and the number 11 is the number for judgement. The 1st day of TISHRI is the jeeewish New Year or ROSH HASHANAH. But since the nope heebrew for “Jubilee” is YOVEL and since YOVEL means “Ram’s horn” and since the “Ram’s horn” is identified with YOM KIPPUR, then it is reasoned that the Year of Jubilee begins on the 10th day of the month TISHRI, which as we all know is YOM KIPPUR. This year it changes sept 25-27th 2022 . The jubilee year doesn’t start until 10 days later on day of atonement therefore the jubilee goes from oct 5 2022 until day of atonement in 2023. So the jubilee is in the beginning of the next full 7 year shmitah block.
