"Suit case nukes" were debunked years ago. It eminated from a commie defector. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83728299 BS ... The warhead on our cruise missiles totals about 100kg, or about 290 pounds. Those can be up to 150kt of power (Hiroshima was about 10, Nagasaki about 13-15) [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] As an experiment we also developed nuclear artillery rounds that weighed even less, though none of those are in inventory anymore AND some small ones that could be carried in by a couple of people and attached to bridges etc. for demolition purposes. Take a look at the W80 nuclear warhead in the linked article. VERY small. |

Russia "misplaced" 98 of them back in 1990. Every bought a few. They have a full life of ten years and they need to be updated. Not lots of suitcase nuke mechanics out there. They slide them refrigerators, rent an apartment, furnish it, and can dial in a detonation. They find them all the time in the USA. They used to teach this stuff in "anti-terror training schools" back in the late 90s |

Reason why it was a big deal when Obama, Biden, Hillary, dems sold yellowcake to Russia was if Russia wanted to pop one off somewhere, it could now be traced back tot he USA. Even the smallest, which I think was about 29kgs (Recoilless rifle version- honest John), has a yield of .01 KT. The swimmer version, was meant to be parachuted by two guys and floated to a target like a bridge or a dam. Not humped and not carried in a suitcase Suitcase nukes are BS, I stick to my story. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77106686 You have made a life and a psychosis of how much others you dont even know "care" right. What people should care about is china india and the middle east, each at about 1.5 billion, are NOT being wiped out while the most intelligent, least polluting are.....due to their wealth and what they are owed. Your shriveled mind and protracted soul have the same responses as any somali or paleo chin. And if some land once owned by the ethnic Russians were to get laid waste, the bigger aspect would be for him to prove tgat he can at-will remove the Russian presence from his undemocratically elected presence. Just some precisely directed nuclear surgical strikes, to kick the Russians out, which would never escalate the current special military operation to unprecedented levels. (sarc) That's all elensky has been asking for, more lethal and modern weapons. No doubt he's already requested five, at least. “Queen Sarah, save us from the Black Dog King!” - from the play, Dissocia [link to tasaonline.org.au (secure)] "Never be anyone's French poodle." - Mr Hamilton |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77106686 True and wise. Nobody cares anymore. Remember how there were pro peace protests everywhere in the world in 60'-70' now everyone cares only about their next pleasure. You know they would call those peace protesters "leftist", commies and liberals now, right.... Especially here on GLP. |
