If I may make a book recommendation, I'm currently going through ibn Ezra's 11th century H-braic Astrological treatise The Beginning of Wisdom. It's a most important little work to chronicle the understanding of the heavens in the medieval period. Much is borrowed from Ptolemy, but much comes from non-extant sources ranging from India to Baghdad. It may not be as "full" of a work as, say, the 6th century Chronicles of Jeremeel, but it is important as a source work of the understanding in the 11th century and beyond. Much of it is familiar to me, some involves interesting theological interpretations. I highly recommend it on your shelf as a source work. Get the leatherbound edition. Well, you see, that's a tricky thing. It's irrelevant if you offend me. I am nothing more than dust and ashes as a man. We little human vapors explore this fallen desert for a while and then disappear back into dust whence we were taken. The higher powers are the only ones you need worry about if them you have offended. I am but a baby playing in Earth's sandbox. The Creator, however, is truly the Living Holistic One. I cannot approach that level of light. It is too great for me. Christ was on that level, but I am a very stupid man and have not attained to Wisdom. We're all babes in the woods here. We're all trying to figure this out. Some will get it. For some it will take lifetimes. You have your paths and we have ours. You believe in God, Jesus ect. So do we. We just have different interpretations. We're all doing the same thing basically. We're just doing it differently. We're all trying to find our way back to God. In whatever form that might take. We're all trying to reconnect. Well, not all. Crowley wasn't trying to connect to anything but Nothing.
