Especially now with the way the economy is people are extra on edge. One little event could set them off.

Police are unable to enter Macy's in the mall due to doors being locked down when incident occurred.

haven't been to a mall since 2008,and at that time it was slowing down ...

I never go anywhere unarmed anymore. I didn't used to be that way. In fact, I used to deliberately not carry because I didn't want to escalate a potentially dangerous situation by introducing another firearm. I would rely on my deescalation training.

Believe it or not, Greenwood Park Mall is still very active.

I would hope so.

Police requesting IndyGo bus services, presumably for clearing people from the mall.

Johnson County EOD on site and IMPD Bomb Squad on standby.

Indiana State Police bomb squad also en route.

Suspicious backpack discovered in a bathroom.

Confusion with Incident Command over the radio. The response was absolutely massive.

And in 3…..2…….1……..the Resident will announce a buy back program for all weapons. $1000 per, no questions asked. Will probably result in a 90% reduction in armed citizens, then the fun times begin. Once the midterms are stolen, the New America begins, unimpeded.

Not surprising. Back in the day Greenwood used to be pretty nice. They opened the new public pool some years ago and I could see immediately how "ethnic" it had become.

Then the robberies started at the mall where people had to be afraid to go to their car. Never heard of such a thing in the past.

Now a shooting? Seems par for the course.

Know someone who just moved out last December. Took advantage of the home price increases and got the heck out of dodge.

That's not been my experience there. I have never felt threatened nor out of place in that area of Greenwood.

I thought so too. These are usually handled by state and local agencies.

Police unsuccessful at locating master key to unlock all secured doors.

People still being discovered hiding inside stores as search continues.

Police asking for visual on the water tower for some reason.

The water tower is right next to the mall.

Right in time for the AWB.

Let's wait until we get information on the shooter before we start going down the false-flag rabbit hole. Police have been very quiet about the suspect over the radio, so I have no information on him yet except that he is dead. I don't even know if he's dead by his own actions or because someone else shot him.

I don't mean to imply I know one way or the other. And really doesn't matter. It's the optics of it.

The FBI presence...concern about a bomb/suspicious package and eyes on the water tower all seemed related, IMO

Agreed. Even if it's not a false flag, they will politicize the hell out of and make guns the enemy, when it's the idiot that walked into the mall an opened fire that is 100% responsible for what he did.

A loaded gun can't kill anyone of its own volition. It takes a human being to pull that trigger.

My first thought on the water tower was "sniper." But they haven't said anything about it since.

They need time to scrub his social media posts and make him a Trump supporter .

It takes time to get the photos adjusted to make him look like he was at those rallies.

I hope not. That is the last thing we need.

Radio has largely gone quiet at the moment.

UPDATE: An eyewitness tells News 8 that a Good Samaritan shot and killed the shooter at Greenwood Park Mall.
