From my own perspective: The pursuit of happiness (not a copy & paste thread).
Chasing happiness is like trying to capture a cloud.

Instead, be grateful... right now... for all the blessings you take for granted. There are people dying today that would give up all their wealth (be it a little or a lot) to switch places with you – Health is that precious!

For the most part, "happiness" is an illusion we create within our own minds. Therefore, it is subjective, relative and unsustainable... what makes us happy today may not be what makes us happy 5 years or even 5 days from now.

Most (if not all) of my happiest moments in life were when the last thing on my mind was seeking after "happiness."

There are though, I’ve found, some fundamental components that make for "happy memories":

Being with family and friends to share it with.

Be where I want to be... both physically and emotionally.

Not having worries or other things on my mind that become all-consuming.

Nourishing a healthy mind body and spirit by obeying the Lord’s Commandments.

Not holding onto past grievances.

The willingness to step outside my comfort zone and be open to improvisation, spontaneity and embrace the unexpected.

Give up on being a “person-pleaser” but ALWAYS be considerate of what others may be going through and seek to be kind and to uplift others whenever it is within my ability to do so.

These are my own experiences gathered over the 60+ years living on this planet. YMMV.
