Two neighbors having an ongoing, heated dispute (violent or not) are "at war". There is no elimination of war due to free will doctrine and others. This is not commonly understood and so remains a valid point to specifically mention even to this day.

Imagine a secret agent coming out of retirement for one last mission to save his old hometown that shunned him by delivering a "secret weapon" then being killed, kind of, by the very people it saves with all none the wiser except a select few. And just to make it interesting the select few were the ones that originally shunned him. Then maybe they go out and also get killed the same way for doing the same then the closing is a familiar scene around a now loaded feast-covered table with everyone and the guy says "Do this in remembrance... of us" then the credits roll and blink 182 plays. I'd watch that.
