Assault weapons are fully automatic or select-fire per definition. We can't own those as it is. What is this bill going to do? Ban something that is already banned?

Full autos are not banned. They can't manufacture new ones, not since 86. But pre 86 registered transferable machine guns are on the market.


They are WILDLY expensive, on top of the 200 dollar tax stamp. But for what you pay for the gun, that extortion fee is peanuts.


Buy a binary trigger, totally legal (higher than in some cases) full auto rates of fire for 400 dollars.

I'm pro 2nd, but as a matter of practicality, I'm into handguns. If I purchased an AR or AK, I could max out at 25yds at the range. So functional marksmanship, an AR is useless to me. But since 1808 is really likely to pass because we are operating in clown world, I feel obliged to purchase something I will likely never use.

Certain semi-automatic rifles would be banned like the AR15 and AK47. Magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds would be banned. And pistols that can shoot rifle rounds will be banned if this passes.

If you assault someone or are assaulted by someone with a rock or a pool stick or other potentially lethal item come easily to hand then is that not an 'assault weapon'? Try 'semi-automatic rifle', 'chopper', 'submachine gun', or similar.
