Quoting: Aware & Watching The people there..meaning complete strangers at various businesses were ALWAYS genuine and warm toward us. We felt like family no matter where we went. The Walmart there had a sign that said “ mothers room” directing busy and nursing mothers to a room just for them. It did not say “birthing persons” room. We didn’t see even ONE graffiti sign or one single homeless person. The roads were all in great shape and well cared for..as did all the infrastructure. And we were the majority. Not the minority. What California refers to as “minorities?” We saw just a few at most. I had completely forgotten what that felt like. My husband was often referred to as “Sir” and most everyone we saw smiled at us and were polite with good manners. Even the younger adults! It was quite an experience. Oh! And the local news..had “top stories” of storms and noise ordinance Complaints on vehicles with loud exhausts, like motorcycles. No stories of murders, rapes, robberies etc. Gun stores advertising sales on ammo and Walmart had both ammo and shotguns for sale! And when I say ammo..I’m not talking about ammo locked behind a plexiglass cabinet in cases. I’m talking about boxes of open ammo sitting on easily accessible shelves. It was like going back in time about 50 years. Almost surreal. No exaggeration. What you described is 80% of the country, so long as aren’t on the east or west coast, are far enough away from any major cities, and in a place where minorities are still a minority. It’s pretty obvious who’s destroying this country if you travel even a little bit. Good points. And good to know that the majority of this country still has hope. But again..I do believe there are good and bad apples in every orchard. I’m also a firm believer in how those apples are grown/nurtured as to their potential outcome. Faith in Him. |

Very much looking forward to moving there. Just looking at some houses and trying to tie up loose ends in California:) Don't you get it? Locals HATE people like you! Stay away! Move to Texas or something dammit! St. George is a capital of caliplants. Enjoy having your water shut off moran! Again..why so angry. You don’t even know me. And yet you say “people like you” makes no sense. I treated your state as the visitor I was, with respect. Spent hard earned money at your many businesses and cleaned up after myself. Even tipped housekeeping at our hotel. Tbh…you would be lucky to have me and my husband as a part of your beautiful state. We really are good decent people. Come to Oklahoma. We are a Red State. Housing is still affordable and so are food and gas prices. We would welcome more Conservatives... Appreciate the invite. Unfortunately I have aging parents in CA that are dug in like ticks. So need to be in a neighboring state. Faith in Him. |

But wanted to make sure this one doesn’t actually live in Utah and really feel this way. Fuck you. Everyone wants to make sure California scum stays out of their state. Noted. And I’ll take it under advisement. Happy? Faith in Him. |

So many amazing things to see in southern Utah. Quoting: PSA Thank you! Just put an offer in on a house. Hoping to hear something tomorrow. Even if we get over bid..I’m sure we will find the right home for us. Definitely feeling a strong pull to relocate to St. George:) lol Come swat skeeters down on the AL Coast line. We have lots of amenities. Fairley decent climate, lots of humidity Damn Lib Yankies are bout to take over though. We need good folks to even the keel. Appreciate the kind offer. However aging parents refusing to leave CA forces a neighboring state for future needs of said parents. Faith in Him. |

No freedom of medication. And fatties everywhere on mobility scooters who drive challengers . Yeah I’ll pass on a low IQ state like that. Don’t you have anything better to do with your time than insult people on my thread. How about making one yourself. Much appreciated!! It really is a beautiful state. We are of retirement age and also looking for lots of good recreation options. St. George seems to have it all:) also looking at the Ivins area. I just want you to know how much your state impressed me and gave me hope for this country. It felt like a political and social oasis to me compared to the sea of corruption and over regulation that CA has become..from the top down. Quoting: Aware & Watching Sadly our state of Utah is turning liberal and leftist at a rapid rate because of all the libtards moving here from California. Another decade and we will be same like Oregon, Washington & California. Very sad indeed I will not be one of them. Let’s hope some of those moving to red states are not doing so to change them. Mother of 3, grandmother of 7. Son proudly serving this country, has done three tours so far. Conservative God fearing woman who loves this country. And I try to treat others the way I would want to be treated. Hope that takes me out of your “Nth degree” Why are you scared of God? I never understood the "God fearing" thing. Good question. In this context, it means to respect the creator of all things as His created. And to show respect. As to be in awe of Him. Last Edited by Aware & Watching XX on 07/28/2022 01:12 AM Faith in Him. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 83914344 United States 07/28/2022 01:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Right? I suspect the same too. So may Californians have left their fucked up State to migrate to other States to fuck up -- like a disease. This ^^^ Oregon used to be SUCH a nice place to live, back in the day. But it was all the Kalifornia shytbags that moved here and destroyed it. For the last 10 years, I've been trying to come up with a place to move to, but every time I get interested in an area, these motherfucking Kalifornia vermin flood the area like locusts. Next thing you know, regulations, land use restrictions, jack up property taxes, traffic, crime, attitudes, and people being priced right out of their own rental and real estate markets. It really IS a F-ing disease. And then they wonder why they aren't welcome. :rolleyes2: |

My son's high school friend is Mormon with a Japanese mom. He started working for the CIA around 12 to 15 years ago after college. He went to BYU. He is around 40 now and as far as I know he is still in. When I look back I kind of wonder if his Mormon dad was CIA also. He did lots of traveling to Asia (where he met his wife) and many other foreign places as a "tire salesman". He didn't know a couple of men my husband knew that worked locally for this same tire company. "Patriotic name" tire company ;). They were fairly well off so I know the dad was nicely compensated and mom didn't work. |

Would shills be paid to make posts like this ? ...because these are way over the top nonsensical. utah is a good place, especially when compared to CA cities. Salt Lake isn't anything like southern utah though. You couldn't pay me to live there. It's a madhouse of ants climbing over each other. the people in S. Utah have become much more uptight over the last few decades though. Towns of say,.... less than 1000 people. In st. George, the above poster isn't telling the truth. There is an uppity attitude from Mormons that exists in a very few situations, but at work, or wherever, no one cares in the least. Heavy Partying, drunk, drugged, screwed up people are looked down on in s.UT though, which is why some may talk the way they do. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 81662978 United States 12/02/2022 12:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Glad you Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83277861 Mormons have a lot of dark secrets. The Ute Reservation is a bit... shall we say 'Hills have eyes'. Care to elaborate? Or are you able to. hahah on the "ute" reservation. It's actually Piute. I've worked on that res as well as been through it a 100 times. I never felt uncomfortable. Utes are up north. As far as dark secrets in the mormon community...that is correct. The funny thing is that in every city , those same dark things occur but the reason they are talked about is because the far majority of the people are so seemingly clean. In a big city, those things happen every day, all day. In a mormon community, they aren't "supposed" to happen. prostitution. govt payoffs, "good ole boys club"... yah...it's all done in St.George, just like anywhere else. |
