You don't make a VP deal until you've won the Republican primary elections. There will be many candidates, including Pence, Pompeo, etc., so there hasn't been some deal because Trump hasn't won the 2024 Primary.

Besides, DeSantis is an Alpha, not a Beta cuck like Pence was/is.
