This has been posted here before but I've got to admit I like the idea a whole lot better than being stuck waiting in line for a charger if you can spare the trunk space.

Lmao. That tiny generator is only 2000 watts. Hes gonna be sitting there for hours charging to go a few miles.

A tesla charger is 150 thousand watts. Hes charging at 2000

Tesla superchargers operate in 3 phase @ 480v

Supercharger Max. Amps = 150 kW / (480V × 1 × 1.73) = 180.6 Amps

It will work. You can plug it into your home wall 110 outlet at a charge rate of 3 miles per hour...overnight, 12 hrs = 36 miles in range lol

That's not 150,000 watts

180.6 A X 480 v = 86,688 Watts

By my calculations, it should take 6 gallons of gas for the generator to get the Tesla battery to 150 miles.

That's 25MPG!

3 phase current has a power factor of 1.73

What they need to do is let it also charge on 110 voltage.

Granted it would take longer for charging but an easier thing to
implement so you can charge anywhere easily.

They should also come with 2-3 solar panels on the hood and roof top so it also can charge all day long.

Seems so simple.
