Poland always seems to be on the losing side. It’s like the Polish leadership is genetically incapable of not shooting themselves in the foot... they’re making every Polish joke come true, decade after decade.

It extends into internal matters, as well. An example: at one time Krakus Polish hams were the absolute best in the world; this was during the years of communist control, before the Solidarity movement in the early 1980s. High standards were maintained as the hams were a valuable export, and brought in a considerable amount of much-needed foreign exchange. Once Poland became a “democratic” state, the standards for Krakus hams were lowered drastically and the quality plunged, as did their worldwide popularity, resulting in the loss of most of that outside money. Again, they unnecessarily shot themselves in the foot.

Most ridiculos thing Poland did was part with russian army station there and "invite" another "brotherly" US army to the same bases .

That said, I can see why the Poles would rather have Americans; they hate the Russians for good reason - Ivan the Russian soldier is a rapey bastard. Talk to almost any Pole and they’ll tell you stories from WWII about the proclivities of the Russians in regard to women.

Personally, I think the world would be much better off with every single Russian “naturalized” (taking a long dirt nap).

If Russia had their way Poland would just be a part of Russia just as they are trying to make Ukraine. It's not hard to see why Poles look at what Russia is doing to Ukraine and want no part of it.

Half of pre 1940 Poland sit in Ukraine and Byelorussia. Do you think that some prominent Poles have no designs regarding that land in time of turmoil?

The Poles were never a bunch of peaceniks. The current Polish government is really out there--seriously, and not just in their demands regarding Russia.

Indian news isn’t too bad... just remember that Indians have a real hot crush and love for a certain tiny country in the Mideast, who they feel can do no wrong.

Yeah, they have their issues with their own Muslim minority so it kind of makes sense. Not the right choice given what that certain country has done, but understandable.

Germany will not leave NATO. This would take some poiticians with brains and the will to do this. So far, the current regime is a willing and obedient tool that works against the best interest of the country. This will not change anytime soon.
