Until he institutes controlled burns on a regular schedule, he's complicit. Dig deep enough and you'll find he personally profits from these "catastrophes". I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again. |

It's disheartening You make no sense and clearly don't live in the area or understand the basics about a forest. DEW to spark a fire? Maybe. But the fuel load and ladder fuels remain to make it a destructive fire. The reason Paradise had trees survive is because those trees specifically (ponderosa pine) are fire adapted. They drop all their needles and lower branches so you (competition) burns up in the fire and they survive. Green trees are full of water and aren't easily burned. This is why houses and aluminum melted but the trees remain. Not some whackadoodle nonsense about DEW. |

These fires are burning upwards of 3,000°F, normal fires burn at around 1,200°F. Have you ever seen a forest fire melt glass and tires, entire homes are literally incinerated to ash. Tree stubs are burning from the inside, like being struck by lightning. I've seen overhead pictures, houses reduced to ash but some houses smack dab in the middle of the rubble are completely unaffected. I saw one house where half the house was incinerated, the other half was perfectly standing. Did the fire just conveniently say "you know what, I think I've done enough damage for today. I'm just gonna put myself out and salvage the rest of the house!" Do some research on DEWs and then get back to me. |
