Any Pros Here Have Tips or Site Suggestions for Selling a Few Items I'm Looking to Sell ASAP?
I've listed 3 car audio amplifiers with a 2 farad stiffening cap (worth $1400) for $350 (O.B.O.) 2 weeks ago.

SO far 24 views, with 1 watching.

Listed a $1500 Rubi Professional Large Format Bridge Saw (used once) for less than HALF the price I paid (on CL). Again; 2 weeks, no bites.

I don't do F@cebook, so marketplace is not an option.

ANY help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm now cash strapped and credit frozen ever since Covid, and I have to liquidate personal items just to keep up right now.

It'll be better soon, but I can't keep taking hits on my credit report.

This really sucks!

Geeze...Don't know what to tell ya about your sales
efforts. Ever try using "Craigslist" in your area? I
know people who have been able to move personal items
with this internet site.

I sure wish we had a way to have a GLP "FLEA MARKET"
as there are lots of folks struggling with the hyper-inflation
we are all dealing with. Would probably be complicated
unless you had Paypal.

Good luck!

cheers

I'd try offerup, letgo and nextdoor. For offerup, be willing to ship . Ground UPS isn't too horrible for heavy things, just make for certain that it's WELL packed. For nextdoor, you will need to make an account. I've had one for years and have never made a single post on the discussion board. Sales from that will probably be local, and keep safe. Meet in a police parking lot during the day with another person (packing, preferably) and if it feels like you're being scammed, you're being scammed.

As far as payments, diversify. Paypal, cash app, venmo, all of them. Yes, paypal sucks. Period. But it's cash.

On your listings, good photos are everything. Write the date on a piece of paper and include it in a couple of the photos. That assures the buyer you're on the level. If there are any scuffs or scratches, include those in the photos. And communicate with potential buyers immediately. Include a very detailed description with specs, etc.

For pricing, check ebay and undercut the average prices by a few bucks. But don't use ebay...the fees suck and you have to use paypal for payments. FB marketplace is way too full of scams. And people will throw you ridiculous lowball offers. If you post them on offerup or nextdoor, drop the prices after a week, say 5 to 10%. And be willing to accept reasonable offers, especially if their local. And if someone wants to buy everything, give a great price. It'll save you money from fees and shipping.

I totally understand where you're coming from, though. I sell collectibles on the side, and every week it gets more difficult. With kids soon going back to school soon, it's going to get tighter for a while before they even think about getting better. Strange, strange, market dynamics right now.

And good luck. And hang in there and keep trying.

Thank you VERY kindly for your advice OC! Yeah, CL doesn't seem to be doing it for me in my area though (I live in Amish farmland, PA). I guess those buggies don't need high output amplifiers! LOL

Look into auctionninja. I think you have to list with a dealer but you can negogiate terms. I"ve bought a few thing thru them. I've never sold. Some of the auction houses have retail stores. Better than a pawn shop. But it is always and option.
