Why is this pinned ? It’s a glitch on the YouTube algorithm as already explained
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82618624

Absolutely 100% not a glitch.

The person who did it is a YouTube programmer who has been with YouTube since 2005.

If you go to the video and click channels. Then follow the channels linked to the video you'll get to a YouTube channel that is the 40th oldest account on YouTube (aka, an employee).

Re: "Easter egg" found on YouTube, all videos
Obviously some Youtube engineer who made it as a prank.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78919163

The question for me is

who thought, "hey I wonder what will happen if I leave out the "h" in "watch" in random Youtube videos" ??

And if it's not something you can find with a search, why was it done?

By the way, DO these hidden videos show up if you type their titles into the search bar?

I'm not about to go looking to find out.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83600284

The engineer who made it probably leaked the info himself.

That makes sense, thanks

Re: "Easter egg" found on YouTube, all videos
From the comments section :

Explanation of how this works:

It's making use of 2 channels, 1 with a username of 666 and another with a username of watc.

When you remove h from the url, it can't parse the query string (the part after the ?) anymore, as it's a query string for the watch url. So instead, it tries to open the profile with the name watc.

YouTube channel settings allows you to set a redirect URL for a specific channel, so what this user has done is have the channel of watc redirect to the video uploaded by user 666.

That's it really.

You dumbasses lol

It's not an easter egg, you're just typing in a new url going to this video

Derp

But with any youtube URL, you erase that h, and it comes to this same video, from first observations.

If it's the 40th oldest account why are there only 2 videos both posted 3 months ago? Joined Nov 21, 2018 and 2 vids???
One was shown earlier in the thread and here's the other

If you go to that 666's channel and look at their subscription it takes you to a "iluomo" youtube channel. On the first video on this person's page they're talking about this

The first video was uploaded April 23, 2005, By the co-founder. It still isn't public yet. Titled Me at the zoo, it shows co-founder Jawed Karim at the San Diego Zoo and can still be viewed on the site.[25][26]

In May, the company launched a public beta

On any video at all, just erase the "h" in the URL within the word "watch", and you get a seemingly satanic video.

***Warning, you might want to turn your sound off or not watch at all.

Do not watch or listen!!

It is white noise and a weird picture.

I learned the hard way because I was curious. It is definitely evil and a portal of some sort. I felt an evil presence immediately after watching that took days to shake off. It was horrible!! And BTW it is not easy to shake off and I will not go into details of how I did it.

Under best circumstances it will chew up a week of your life. Some people may not be perceptive enough to figure out the change.
