Lots of water below our feet... Where I live here in the desert, every one has a well.. Plenty of water.. Dig deep enough, there are rivers...

I remember an old show I watching with huell houwser how they were making the freeway through the mountains near LA, and the actually hit a river.. So much water... They had redesign the freeway...

Earth is nearly all water...

Rivers underneath the ground...

Next year it will be overflowing. One extreme follows the other. That's how nature works. Save water during the wet times. knowing the dry times are coming.

You need to watch some of the many videos showing how dire the situation is.

OP is 100% correct. The lakes are drying up. Anyone can see that. The pace is frightening, and it is increasing.

Our already fragile food production will be massively affected by this. Food inflation and famine are on the horizon.

Won't happen. California will buy water from other states who will gladly sell it to them while their own residents are forced to ration the very water they sell.

Re: Doomsday for SOCAL.
Doomsday for SOCAL.

It is with deep regret that I have to point out a near future possible
DOOMSDAY for Southern California and other areas of the Southwest.

This is my opinion. No one elses.

Lake Powell and Lake Mead will soon be depeleted to the point where
no electrical Power Generation will happen and sometime later the Colorado
river will dry up. 1320 + 2000 is 3,320 million watts of lost Electricity.

The Real Estate market will disappear as no one will buy a house that has no water. The 40 million plus people will be forced to leave for parts unknown.

The ones who delay by way of denial that this will not happen will be the ones who will be leaving in poverty because they could not sell the house.

I can not be certain as to when these events will happen as there are many, many factors that come into play. Janet Yellen of the Federal Reserve will be yelling that NO ONE could have forseen this coming as the markets go into the crapper. Global Depression.

These events will soon be world news ahead of the Ukraine, stolen elections,
defund the police stuff, open borders engineered by the Democrats; everything.

So here are some youtube links to ponder (there are many others) and then dear readers you decide.

One last comment.

There is a world opinion out there that Global Warming is caused by the increase of CO2 in the Atmosphere and therefor the world needs to
go to Electric Wheels.

The CO2 generated by human activity is not causing the warming of the Earth.

Rather, it is the Warming of the Earth that is causing the Increase in CO2 in the oceans.

CO2 settles to the ground because it is heavier than air.
Just look at Dry Ice in a bucket of water.

This warming of the Earth will be with us for the next 5,125 years.
After that there will be a cooling of the Earth for the next 5,125 years.
There is an interaction between the Gravity Coriolis Effect of the Milkey Way and another galaxy.
If I feel like it perhaps an explanation at a later date.
Until then just remember:

Been busy working on the temporal phase modulators.
Metric jumping is very dangerous if you don't do it right.

BTW, Anyone who thinks that you will just drill a well to get out of this mess, is in for a rude shock.
Most of the ground water is or soon will be tainted with salt. This is caused by a different reason.

No water shortages expected in San Diego until at least 2045
According to a statement released by the Water Authority, "no shortages or regional water-use mandates are in the forecast."
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80798264

No it's true. I just finished a contract at Lockheed Martin Palmdale. Around very very smart people. They all are worried. They say that it's unavoidable. They can't unload their homes, kids in school and jobs they can't leave.

They stated they expect at least 20mil out of the roughly 40mil to be with out electricity and water will be rationed, not restricted, rationed.

One of the engineers i was working with said there is no way in hell we can defend ourselves and family when this happens. He said it's going to be chaos. This is not a doom post, this is a factual post. Not make believe. It's happening and it's a slow burn. I was totally ignorant of the topic until it was explained to me in detail while I was out there.

You got to think. This people are totally invested there.

Also, they stated that the agencies and news groups are not reporting the truth pretty much about everything. The one engineer stated (his brother works for pamdale police dept.) That the news stating there are 10's of thousand homeless, he said this is one example of their lies. He's brotheer told him that there is 100's of thousands of homeless just in Cali alone.

I feel for them but, I don't want them coming here to the south.

Take from this what you will. Believe it or not, it's doesn't matter. This can from men that grew up there and continue to live their lives there.

Seriously, just about every county in Arizona is under a Flood Watch or a Flood Warning.

It's been like this all week.

So which is it? Flood or Drought?

Everyone is 'gauging the weather' by the water level of Lake Mead.
That's just one of hundreds of lakes in the area.
It's a man-made reservoir. You can 'Drain' it.
Have you bothered to look at water levels of Natural Lakes in the basin?

Am I to ignore the National Weather Service warnings because of a Cnet article?

This is just information.

If you do not wish to accept this initial information,
then fine, do nothing.

If you do accept the information that I have presented then
do what I asked you to do ,,, much more research.

I have only provided you with less than 1% on this subject.
Once you finally understand the issue then your problems have just begun.

1. Do nothing and hope that the drought breaks and you do not have to
pack and move. Every one hopes to win the lottery.
Once a large segment of the population figures it out, it will be too late.
You can not sell if there are no buyers.

2. Moving is not easy, takes much planning, so I understand the very deep
denial that most people will cling too.

I moved years ago.
