and yet the vast majority of African American workers who were serving the unruly lady bit their tongue, behaved professionally and did their job politely just to get her out of the store without causing a further scene.

Only one employee even talked back to her and even then I felt he was quite reserved.

The way these workers handled this situation was admirable and the very definition of what it means to be "civilized" as most people would have lost their temper and acted purely on emotional anger rather then logical thought at being confronted by such a rude and spiteful person.
