They use those instant hot water heaters in Europe, and they really suck.

I used those things in Italy and Mexico, and I hated them.

In the shower you have to keep the cold water off to get any hot water, and because of that you don't get any water pressure. To take a bath you have to wait forever for the bath to fill up with pee warm water.



To save money I kill the circuit breakers on all my heat in the summer, and never use the oven.

I reduced the size of my hot water tank down to 40 gallons, and use a timer. My hot water tank is only on for 12 hours a day. If I really wanted to save money I would only turn it on when I needed a shower. It takes about 45 minutes to heat the whole tank, and I only shower about 3 times a week. 2.25 hours times 4500 kWh at 11 cents a kWh equals $1.11 times 4.4 weeks equals $4.88 a month, times 12 equals $58.56 for the year.

A tank of hot water costs me 37 cents in electricity. The problem is my tank's heating element (upper then lower) comes on every time I use a 1/2 gallon or more of water. If I could preheat my well water, which is 45 degrees, I could save a lot of money.

Now ze Germans are gonna understand how it's the people on the ground that pay for the moral indignation that their politicians are pushing over Ukraine. I could swear sanctions are supposed to hurt the people being sanctioned.

Remember whilst you take your cold shower how bit by bit, youre helping fight Putins tyrannical expansionism. The question really should be, how many are vaxxed and not O blood group.. Because cold showers mean you may have a very bad day.

After a lightening strike (that came in NOT from electrical lines but from one of the large solid copper wires that the phone company used back in the 60's) & fried the electronics of my gas tankless water heater I decided to go back to a tank water heater. There was some plumbing work to be done so I had to wait for a plumber. It was summer & I would put gallon water jugs on the roof.

I discovered that 4 gallons was all I needed to shower- & that's including hair washing & conditioner!

It's so easy to warm oneself,up and down the Cascades, sure children and elderly but if are remotely in shape you will be fine.

Because the US doesn't want us to, we're not getting gas delivered via the northstream2 pipeline which is sitting there filled and ready to deliver.

So we're running out of gas because we delivered to Poland and helped them fill their storage,
We bought/built a gas storage in Austria because chemical industry of both countries is near by that needs it,but know Austria wants to use the gas there for anything else as well.

Because of a tsunami in Japan we will shut down our remaining nuclear power stations soon. Mind you, we got the tech to make them safe and of course not a tsunami risk anywhere.

If that isn't mentally disabled I don't know.

The thing is,now we got
No gas, and but also
Not enough power to heat anything electricically,
Not enough coal at the ready to make enough power for anything.
Wind/solar doesn't work in winter here,it's 4-5momths in a mild winter where you depend on other sources.

You can't get gas bottles anymore, you have a hard time finding wood - if you were lucky to have a wood stove or buy one because theyre sold out even to double the price 1 month ago, which is not possible for the most people due to living in apartments/flats.

Whoever wanted Germany and the German people on their knees has us exactly there because we're made obedient and if there's no miracle, we're dead men walking.

Even I am not sure how I and my children will survive this winter,because I was stupid 20years ago and depend on gas for heating. I wasn't able to buy a wood stove because sold out.
