(100PercentFedUp-dot-com) On Friday, the House of Representatives revived a ban on semi-automatic guns. The restrictions were first put into place in 1994, on both selling and manufacturing the guns. But the restriction was lifted ten years later when the political support in congress for the ban waned.

Jim Jordan said “They are coming for your guns.” He called the recent gun legislation unconstitutional.

Which is why it won't go down like that, but that doesn't mean they aren't coming for them. All they have to do is make it illegal to buy them, sell them, or transfer them to anyone else. Even if they never took another step beyond that, how are you going to get parts when the manufacturers stop selling to civilians because it's illegal (gotta stop people from buying triggers and firing pins for their 3d printed plastic lowers)? What's going to happen to all of your collection when you die? You won't be allowed to transfer it to your kids and if your kids are caught with any of them later on they'll be arrested for having them. They'll say they're not coming for what you already own, but it won't matter because what you already own won't be allowed to stay in private hands after you die. Even if they never took another step beyond it they would kill it within one generation.

And they will almost certainly take another step beyond it. They'll just wait for the next incident and then implement a mandatory surrender of all existing guns, perhaps with a mandatory registration in between (but they've been making an illegal database out of existing 4473s anyway). They won't go door to door, they'll just say if you don't turn it in by a certain date, you're in possession of illegal firearms. If you get caught at the range with it, if you get caught in a traffic stop with it, if you get caught using it to defend yourself, you go to jail. That is how this will work, it won't be a door to door civil war kickoff.

Here are a few facts that challenge your theory and would require such a broad sweep of contention points that it would be impossible to implement- 3D printing and metallurgists. The lockdowns gave lots of people time to acquire new skills and homesteading skills were absolutely one of them. Of course, 'homesteading' is a broad term, but you can pick up what I am laying down.

Even IF, and I mean a HUGE 'IF'.... they could confiscate a large percentage of those firearms, the ingenuity of those needing a solution to a problem, will rise and prove itself. This is how humanity has gotten to where we are.

If it isn't a firearm, it will be an edged weapon. An IED. The coordination of a group of survivors. It would instigate primal responses and actions that are built into our DNA.
