if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15%.

That comment has been taken completely out of context as it has been for several years.

Bill Gates whole thing is vaccines make healthier children so the people in poorer countries don't need to have so many children to replace the ones who might die.

1st world countries are suffering a terrible population decline. It's why we take in immigrants. If the local population (which is mostly white people) stop having babies.. we need to import more baby makers.

but in the 3rd world countries, children are workers.. large family mean large workforce so support the family. it's a difficult life with many illnesses and deaths that can disrupt a families ability to make a living. so as an insurance policy, they have many children to ensure some survive.

Bill gates want's to give vaccines to make the children healthier so the families don't feel the need for so many children when the ones they have are healthy and strong.

But you go ahead.. take a cherry picked portion of a years old comment and make a conspiracy out of it.
