The clip published on the embassy’s Twitter account on Friday, called “Time to move to Russia,” touts Russia’s cultural values. “This is Russia,” a narrator speaking English with a Russian accent says in the 53-second ad. “Delicious cuisine, beautiful women, cheap gas, rich history, world-famous literature, unique architecture, fertile soil, cheap electricity and water, ballet, cheap taxi and delivery, traditional values, Christianity, no cancel culture, hospitality, vodka.” Russia’s economy, “can withstand thousands of sanctions,” continues the voiceover. “Time to move to Russia. Don’t delay, winter is coming, ” the viral ad concludes, quoting the ominous line from Game of Thrones.
