Anyone believe the Indeed or LinkedIn job postings when it seems like everyone is laying off hundreds or even thousands EVERY week?

Something dont smell right. I saw one job posting that I applied to, was national, and they had over 5k people apply and I was one of the top 10... didnt get it, but I was blown away on the amount of people applying for jobs.

So I think this puts the BULLSHIT stamp on EVERYONE IS HIRING mantra... its taking months... or even over a year for some people to get hired back into professional lines of work.
