I just bought a pistol. Made me wait until the third day then cleared me. No cops coming to my house. Sounds like a bunch of trash.

You actually believe felons should have right to bear arms? Not sure I agree there, constitutional rights out the window when you’ve been convicted of a felony. That’s how they can put you in a cell.

They aren't coming because there is no basis to do so. You sound like an idiot making assumptions like you are. They have three days to check you, if not complete by then, the gun store can sell to you. By passing the check, though delayed to the third day, they've already checked my background and passed me, which takes time due to past military service, clearances, multiple moves, etc.. I always have to wait. I didn't hear an ounce of critical thinking in your post.

Every denial and delayed transaction is to be reported to local police within 24 hours... WITH all of your information.

Remember right after Sandy Hook? When Obama created a task force to address mass shootings and put Joe Biden in charge of it? I recall specifically that the pro-gun side (who were called to the table to help propose solutions) said we don't need new laws, we need to properly enforce the laws that are on the books ALREADY. Don't restrict people who have done nothing wrong, go after the bad guys when they DO something wrong. Like people on the restricted list who try to buy a gun.

Joe Biden came back at them saying C'mon, man, we don't have the man power to go investigate everyone who's on the restricted list that tries to buy a gun... (which makes you wonder where he intended to get the manpower to enforce the sweeping new laws he wanted to propose, but anyway...)

Well, that list is full of people who are felons, wife-beaters, mentally incompetent (adjudicated) and folks who've been deemed a danger to themselves or others. I think if one of them tries to buy a gun, hell yes the local law needs to at least know about it. Pro-gun advocates agreed with this as recently as the last time JB was in the White House.

If there is a hitch in this getup it's with the "delayed" category... sometimes that means as little as "we had a huge surge of BG checks, and couldn't get to this one just yet". Those should be held until a determination is made.

Manufacturers should be raising hell. If they can't complete the checks in thirty days, they're doing it wrong.

They won't send the ATF because they know we'd just call the cops on them and have them SWATed. LOL.
