Most children only have a parent, not parents, who guide and raise them. Then there are those who have neither, literally or effectually.

Children are curious and do not always have someone at home they are comfortable asking questions.

The thread title here is misleading, as usual, suggesting that the schools district "wants" children to ask these questions, when in fact it appears that they are trying to prepare teachers for questions they could be asked.

Naturally, one would think the answer should be "ask your parents," but that's not always the right answer for the child
